Round Canopy Parachute Team – USA (RCPT-USA) will perform several WWII style parachute demonstrations at the Elkhart, Indiana Salute to Veterans 2023 Airshow from 20 - 21 May 2023.  

RCPT-USA, in collaboration with Salute to Vets Airshow, Elkhart, Indiana will safely execute up to 3 parachute drops from 20-21 May 2023, to demonstrate and honor Airborne capabilities and actions past, present, and future. The Elkhart, Indiana “Salute to Vets Air Show and WWII Reenactment'' consists of 2 drops of 8-10 paratroopers on 20 May 2023, one for the morning show and one for the afternoon show, and one drop for the Sunday, 21 May 2023 show. 

Jumpers must be on-time and ready to jump NLT 0700 20 May, 2023.  Lodging provided for jumpers Check-In May 19, 2023 and Check-Out Sunday, May 21, 2023. 

Jumpers must be an active and current member of RCPT-USA and have completed RCPT-USA's airshow qualification assessment, Jumpers must have at least 35 round canopy jumps with their last jump within 90 days from May 21, 2023 (February 20, 2023).  Uniform will be M42's, brown boots, and steel pots. The aircraft for these jumps a CAF C-47, Static line extensions WILL be required for all jumpers to jump from this AC.  Jumpers, jumping own equipment MIRPS-SLCP must have an FAA rated rigger packing with a date not earlier than November 22, 2022. Jumpers MAY NOT jump any additional equipment.  

Jumpers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Airshow. Rooms are double occupancy and reserved for team members only. Hotel details will be released as soon as they are available if jumpers have family members joining them. Arrangements for family and friends will be made at the cost of the team member.

The nearest arrival airport to Elkhart is South Bend (SBN) which is 17.4 miles away.  Other nearby airports include Grand Rapids (GRR) (86 miles), Chicago Midway (MDW) (91 miles), and Chicago O'Hare (ORD) (101 miles).
